Liverpool Sound City

Last week I went to Liverpool for Sound City festival. It was my first time in the city (cardinal sin for a Beatles fan!) and though I didn't get much time to look around, I really liked it.

My hotel had a strip club-come-function room in the basement, classy.

I went into Vivienne Westwood and took sneaky pictures of stuff I couldn't afford while the shop assistant followed me around. I suspect she knew I had no money...

Someone get me this shirt. Please.

Cutest record shop in the world?

So many interesting panels - my favourite was a discussion about the role of radio in promoting new music. Chris Hawkins, Janice Long and one of the head honchos from BBC 6Music were all on the table answering questions.

Next time I head to Liverpool I'll get stuck into my inner Beatles geekiness and do all the tours. Wearing my Beatles jumper, of course.
