I've just returned from a great weekend in Dublin at Longitude festival. Here's the past couple of days in pictures, whilst I recline in recovery mode.
saturday // dress: Topshop / shoes: Clarks / socks: Topshop / necklace: Topshop
This stand had the longest queue for food throughout the festival, but it was worth it. I got a "Heidi": sweet potato, spinach and goats cheese and it was AMAZING.
Vampire Weekend headlined the Saturday night but it was Local Natives' afternoon performance which stole the show in my opinion. Those guys can sing, and they proved it with their cover of Warning Sign by Talking Heads - featuring three part a cappella harmonies. Unreal. I can't forget Villagers either, they were pretty impressive.
Brief civilised tea break at Queen of Tarts in Templebar on Sunday before round two!
sunday // t-shirt: Vero Moda / shorts: Primark / shoes: Schuh / socks: Primark / ring: Liberty Blue / sunglasses: vintage
Dressing for a festival without wellies was a novelty indeed! Packing factor 30 instead of a raincoat is something I'll be happy to get used to.
Yeah Yeah Yeahs were the highlight of my Sunday. Can I just be Karen O?
Japandroids and Hot Chip deserve honourable mentions for contributions towards dancing. I don't know an awful lot of Kraftwerk's back catalogue, but the visuals of their 3D show were enough to captivate a noobie like me! I felt like I was in a real life version of Tron, which is no bad thing.
Still can't get over Local Natives. I've made a mental note to see them next time they play here. So good.
